Privacy Policy Svenska Ord App
Privacy Policy for Svenska Ord
Last updated: 2026-11-04
Svenska Ord ("the app") helps you learn Swedish words and word forms through flashcards, quizzes and games. This policy explains what information the app handles. We keep it as small as possible: there are no accounts, and we run no servers that collect your data.
Who we are
The app is published by Bitcompass. You can contact us at bitcompass.io@gmail.com with any question about this policy.
Information that stays on your device
Your learning progress (which words you have studied, your correct and incorrect answers, review dates and streaks) and your settings (such as your reminder time) are stored only in a database on your own device. We do not receive, upload or have access to this information. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in your phone settings, deletes it.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, or precise or approximate location. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services inside the app.
Notifications
If you turn on daily streak reminders, the app asks for permission to show notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent anywhere. You can turn reminders off in the app or in your phone's notification settings at any time.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and use information from your device, such as your advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions. Depending on your region and your choices, ads may be personalised or non-personalised.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent before ads that use your data are requested. You can change your choice at any time from the ad privacy option in the app's Settings, where it is shown.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).
- How Google handles this information is described in Google's policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We do not receive this information from Google and cannot identify you from it.
Fonts
The app loads its fonts from Google Fonts the first time they are needed. This means your device makes a request to Google's servers, which receive standard connection information such as your IP address. See Google's Fonts privacy information at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy.
Internet access
The app works offline. It uses the internet only to display ads and to download fonts, as described above.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with anyone, because we do not collect it. The only third party involved is Google, through the advertising and font services described above.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For data handled by Google, you can use the controls described above and Google's own privacy tools. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and publish the new version at the same web address. For significant changes, we will also mention them in the app's update notes.
